Class 3 - Year 3 / 4 2018 - 2019

Mrs Owen

World War Two

This term our topic is the Reign of George VI. Along the way, we will learn about the Second World War, the Blitz and rationing. We will also take a trip to Tattondale Farm to learn about the lives of evacuees and land girls.

Homework: Create a presentation about The Battle of Britain. The best one will be presented during our class assembly.

In Science, we are learning about digestion and the food chain.

Our Music sessions will focus upon pattern and pulse, while we shall also look at simple group compositions.

Your child will need to bring their reading books and communication book into school every day. It is important that they are reading every night for at least 20 minutes.    Please record any reading that the children do in their communication books as we do check them daily. Children will read with a teacher or teaching assistant throughout the week as well as participating in specific reading sessions which will be taught as part of the English curriculum.

PE will be with Mr Gibbons on a Tuesday and with Mrs Owen on a Friday. Please make sure you have your PE kits and don't forget your water bottle.
