We actively encourage parents to support their children by reinforcing the things we do in school. We hold workshops to the methods we use in school for teaching English and Maths.
Supporting children does not have to be in a formal manner. It is important that they enjoy what they are doing so it doesn’t become an onerous task. Young children enjoy listening to stories and by reading to your children, you are developing their love of stories and their inspiration for writing. Playing games also helps to develop children's social skills and teaches them the importance of turn taking.
Teachers will send home activities for you to carry out with your child and we hope you will support us with this. Parents are always welcome to come into school and ask about how they are able to help their children at home.
