Welcome to Spring term. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and are ready for the New Year. Our topic this half term is based on Traditional Tales. Our book focus is 'Little Red'. We will be focusing our writing on this book. We have some exciting things happening, like a visit from the 'wolf'. In maths, we will be learning through the book 'The Gingerbread Man'. We will look at adding, subtracting, capacity, money and shape.
On Friday afternoon we will do PE, our focus this half term in gymnastics. On Thursday morning's the class will have Miss Lewis from The Academy for Performing Arts and in these sessions the children will be learning about 'The Three Little Pigs'.
Our RWI sessions are in full swing and the children are loving learning to read with Fred! The children will get sounds/ditty sheets/book bag books to bring home to share with you at home. In Nursery, we have been learning how to write our names and will begin to be exposed to RWI throughout this term.
Wow! What an amazing bake sale that FROCS/Class 1 had on Monday. We would like to thank all Class 1 parents for making or buying cakes to sell. The amount raised has been kept a secret and will be revealed when all class bake sales have taken place. Miss Luke and Class 1 would both love to win the trophy
Don't forget: Tuesday is our weekly Sports Assembly with Mr Gibbons. If you have any achievements that you would like to share and celebrate with the rest of the school, don't forget to tell us! It could be anything! Swimming certificate, football trophy, a part in a dance show... Just make
